Meet James
James Burandt is a Marine Corps veteran, public service professional, and Chair of the City of Placentia Veterans Advisory Committee. He currently works as a Management Analyst with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, using data and operational analysis to support public services and informed decision-making.
James previously served as a Congressional Aide and Military Affairs Liaison and worked in local government with the City of Lake Forest. He holds a Master of Public Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Cal State Fullerton.
His public service has consistently centered on government accountability, community engagement, and supporting veterans and their families.
